Eric Bellonie a été le premier Président, et occupera ce poste jusqu’en 1988. Michel CARPY, prend la présidence de l’équipe qui évolue en nationale 3. Ensemble, ils remportent le titre de champion de France au cours de la saison 1988/1989 et gagnent, par la même occasion, leur billet pour la nationale 2. L'arrivée de joueurs de haut niveau et un travail intense, seront récompensé par un titre de Champion de France pour la saison 1993-1994. La section accède en nationale 1B.
